Jeremy TiceRecently, World Partners Regional Strategy Coordinator for Europe, Jeremy Tice, was in Wales in the United Kingdom for a meeting with the elders of the home church of Alice Mitchell, a World Partners affiliate staff member whose ministry is in Cyprus.

The elders did not know the World Partners organization and were hesitant about us commissioning Alice. Jeremy spoke with his host, one of the elders, and found out that he and his wife were in Ilorin, Nigeria, for two years over thirty-five years ago.

Jeremy inquired as to what church they attended while they were in Nigeria. They replied, “the UMCA.” Jeremy informed the couple that the UMCA is the United Missionary Church of Africa! They were thrilled when they discovered Missionary Church names they all knew and had in common.

The couple is head of the missions arm of the elders and they now feel confident knowing that World Partners is the Missionary Church and that our mission is to make and multiply disciples. Praise God that He paved the way for World Partners in the United Kingdom over thirty-five years ago!
