GUNIEA: Pray for DAWN ANDERSON and Dr. Sana as the past few days they have had many patients with serious injuries. Pray for the patients as they are treated and heal and pray for Dawn and Dr. Sana to quickly assess and treat the situations they are presented. Pray they would not grow weary amongst the decisions having to be made. Dawn specifically requests prayer for Lansana, an eight year-old boy, who fell out of a tree, breaking his arm and paralyzing him from the waist down.
RUSSIA: Pray for JANYNE JOHNSTON who has been experiencing headaches for much of the summer. She also experiences pain while eating due to TMJ even with the help of medication.
BULGARIA: JOSH and SARAH HAWKINS arrived safely in Bulgaria. Pray as the girls adjust to starting school. Pray also for the family as they get over jet lag and begin their ministry.
ECUADOR: Pray for LOLLY ERDEL’s sister, Irene Derksen, who has recently been diagnosed with cancer. Irene and her husband are the primary caregivers for her parents, whose father has dementia and whose mother is blind. Pray as decisions are made and for Lolly as she is far from her family during this difficult time. Pray also for Dave as he had an infected lipoma in his upper arm removed. Pray for his complete recovery.
RWANDA: Pray for THEO and BRIANA MAKOMBE as they continue to raise support for the ministry field of Rwanda. Pray the connections they have made, especially most recently in Colorado, would be seen. Pray also that the Makombes will be a blessing to the churches, groups, and individuals they have the opportunity with which to share.
GUINEA: The GUINEA TEAM requests prayer for Suri Jawara from the town of Soulemania. Suri has not yet made a decision about his relationship with God and has distanced himself from the church. Pray God would clearly show Suri light from dark, truth from deception, and that Suri would grow close to Jesus.
UNITED STATES: Pray for BILL JONES as he meets with the men in the Missions/Discipleship House for a house meeting. Pray the eight individuals in the house would continue to grow in their understanding of biblical discipleship and seek to make disciples. Pray also for these men as they follow up on conservations with students at Indiana University in South Bend, Indiana.
BULGARIA: Praise! PETE HUBLEY reports that George, a man from his church, has agreed to help Pete with the baseball ministry. This is answer to prayer as the baseball ministry needs a Bulgarian native to be involved in order for it to continue into the future. George is a believer and can help with the spiritual part of the ministry as well as the baseball part.
SOUTHEAST ASIA: A STAFF MEMBER will host a conference September 14-17 of lectures and discussions concerning local poverty and ideology challenges. Pray as the staff member hosts this conference for the first time.
MIDDLE EAST: Pray for a STAFF MEMBER who is having health issues.
Pray for all the missionary children and their parents as a new school year begins. During the school year some children will attend boarding school away from their parents while others are homeschooled. Some will also attend college, both in the U.S. and abroad.
