WORLD-LEVEL PRAYER NEWS
*From Ellie Keller – Global Prayer Network
Week of May 20, 2012

“…The time is coming to gather all nations and tongues.  And they shall come and shall see my glory.”
Isaiah 66:18

CAUSES FOR THANKSGIVING:

MALAYSIAWhile the stories cannot really be told or details shared publicly, we should know that all over Malaysia there are Malays hearing about Jesus and the love of God.  Malays are being healed of sicknesses, and small groups of Malay believers are gathering to worship.  Even in the absence of details, we are urged to pray for this growing movement, this continuing and scattered sowing of the seed.

GLOBAL DAY OF PRAYER BROADCAST.  This year, the Global Day of Prayer Broadcast by God TV is very special.  God TV will broadcast a full 4 hours on May 27th.  This is very significant as it is also the day that kicks off the 10 Days of Prayer preceding the Global Day of Prayer.  www.god.tv

MEXICO.  Thanks to your intercession, Pastor Isauro and son Caleb were liberated…The pastor was beaten by the captors though the son was treated well.  The family had to pay a ransom for their liberation.  Pastors in the area request we continue praying since several pastors in the region of Tehuacan are suffering extortion.

PRAY THIS WEEK FOR:

JAKARTA, Indonesia.  Thursday, May 17 the national stadium event will link the 100,000 participants live to 362 cities with Indonesia and an estimated audience of 5 million as well as many millions of others throughout the world.  http://www.wpa2012.org Also available on the GodTV website:  www.god.tv

MALI, Africa.  Christians flee as Jihadists seize control.  The rebellion has resulted in widespread violence.  Pray for the comfort, provision and protection of Mali Christians who have been victimized and displaced—that God will thwart the plans of the wicked and prevent Mali from becoming a sanctuary for Islamic extremists.

SUDAN.  Bombs are exploding as war continues to escalate between Sudan and South Sudan.  Sudan’s president declared war against the south last week.  Pray that God will end the conflict and bring many to Christ as a result; for the innocent who are suffering; the hungry for nourishment and shelter and for workers in the field—for their safety and personal needs.
