Intercessory Prayer

Missionary Church Vision Statement

"We will call the Missionary Church to perpetual intercessory prayer."

2 Chronicles 7:14 - The Message
"If my people, my God-defined people, respond by humbling themselves, praying, seeking my presence, and turning their backs on their wicked lives, I'll be there ready for you: I'll listen from heaven, forgive their sins, and restore their land to health."
We will engage in intercessory prayer that:
  • Empowers us to grow in personal discipleship
  • Empowers us to love, engage, and witness to the lost world that God loves
  • Opens the hearts of the lost to the Gospel of Jesus Christ
  • Empowers to make disciples
  • Empowers us to intercede for the recruitment and development of more "laborers for the harvest"
  • Tears down evil strongholds

We will have achieved our five-year goal when an active intercessory prayer network has been established in every region, district, and local church, and intercessory prayer is being offered on a regular, systematic, and perpetual basis for the worldwide ministry of the Missionary Church.

      Prayer Coordinator Teleconference

The next teleconference will be Tuesday, January 24th at 11AM, 3PM, or 8PM.

The Prayer Coordinator's responsibility is to lead the local congregation in developing a Perpetual Intercessory Prayer ministry. The Prayer Coordinator’s purpose is to organize, schedule, and provide general leadership for the church’s prayer activities.

The prayer coordinators have regular teleconferences with the goal of establishing an active intercessory prayer network in every region, district, and local church.  Intercessory prayer needs to be offered on a regular, systematic, and perpetual basis for the worldwide ministry of the Missionary Church.

30 Days of Prayer for Harvesters

As strange as it may seem, Jesus did not specifically ask us to pray for the harvest.  We spend a lot of time talking about and praying that God will help us reach the harvest.    But, as I have studied more closely the  passages which we use for a focus on the harvest, I notice Jesus says that the harvest is “ripe and ready.”  Harvest time is anytime in the Kingdom of God and Jesus says it is ready to be harvested and brought in.  Jesus’ command is to pray for “harvesters”  - not the harvest.
